Living a dream…

Next weekend will mark a milestone of sorts for me…

Prior to what I refer to as my downfall in life, I had God in my head but never opened my heart for Him to transform me from the inside. I still did His work – from working in a church to missions trips and even having my own non-profit organization. But it took hitting my personal rock bottom before I would fully surrender and allow Him to pull me from a place I couldn’t get out of on my own.

The past 19 months have been spent in full surrender to God. He has taken my pieces of wreckage caused by years of emotional abuse, sexual abuse and alcoholism and made me into the beautiful, worthy of love, child of God I am today.

St Louis has always had a pull for me. In years prior, I have attended the Joyce Meyers Women’s Convention to aid in my growth. I’ve toured the building that started as Dave and Joyce Meyer’s vision and has turned into a ministry that reaches out to present the Gospel to the lost, disciple nations, feed the hungry, clothe the poor, minister to the elderly, widows and orphans, visit prisoners and reach out to people of all ages and in all walks of life. A vision known today as the St. Louis Dream Center.

In my downfall, I spent much time in St. Louis taking part in things less desirable to talk about.

Next weekend I am able to return to St. Louis, with a team of 15 other people and serve through the St. Louis Dream Center. We will be working with the kid’s ministry, in the surrounding neighborhoods and going out in the evening for street ministry, where we will be giving away clothing, blankets, food, and many other items to the homeless on street corners, under tunnels, homeless shelters and group homes, while we share the love of God and the saving news of Jesus Christ.

We need your help.

We recognize not everyone is called to go and do – in fact, believe it or not it’s even uncomfortable for me. But you are still able to help our mission.

First and most importantly, we need people who are committed to praying for our team, for our safety and for the people we will be interacting with. Start praying today and keep us in your prayers as we are gone and return.

We also are in need of financial support. Going on this trip costs money and we would like to leave a gift behind to bless the ministry we are serving.

Would you partner with us?

Again we are in need of both prayer warriors and financial partners.  If you are able to give financially, I will find a way to pick up funds from anyone able to contribute to the team over the next week.

“Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full-pressed, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap.” Luke 6:38
